Enterprise DLP Browser Guard – Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 7, 2026
Enterprise DLP Browser Guard is an enterprise security extension designed to help organizations enforce Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies for browser-based file transfers.
Data processed
The extension may process website URLs or domains associated with file-upload activity, file-transfer events, policy decisions, and operational information necessary to determine whether an upload should be allowed, monitored, or blocked.
Depending on the organization’s configuration, this information may include browser activity related to file uploads and security events such as allowed or blocked transfer attempts.
The extension does not collect passwords, authentication credentials, payment information, health information, or precise location information for advertising or profiling purposes.
How data is used
Data processed by the extension is used solely for enterprise security, Data Loss Prevention policy enforcement, auditing, and protection of organizational information.
The extension does not use user data for advertising, marketing, creditworthiness, or lending purposes.
Local DLP Client communication
Enterprise DLP Browser Guard may communicate with a locally installed Enterprise DLP Client using Chrome Native Messaging. This communication is used to obtain DLP policy decisions and report security-related file-transfer events.
Depending on the organization’s deployment configuration, security events may be transmitted by the local Enterprise DLP Client to the organization’s DLP management server.
Data sharing
We do not sell user data.
User data is not transferred to third parties for advertising, marketing, or unrelated purposes. Data may be processed by the organization operating the Enterprise DLP system as necessary to provide security and DLP functionality.
Data retention
Browser extension configuration may be stored locally on the device. Security-event retention on the Enterprise DLP management system is determined by the organization’s configured security and audit policies.
Remote code
The extension does not download or execute remotely hosted JavaScript or WebAssembly code. Executable extension code is packaged with the extension.
Security
Reasonable technical safeguards are used to protect security-related information processed by the Enterprise DLP system.
